Evaluations
  • Tryout participants will be assessed by independent evaluators that will score the player on fielding (infield and outfield), throwing and hitting and attitude/focus/hustle.
  • The evaluators’ scores will be tallied and averaged to result in an overall combined score.  The team will consist of the 6 highest tryout scores.
  • The coach will then pick the remaining roster spots from those registered.
  • The coach or board may choose to extend an offer to 1 additional player from those that participated in the tryout as an alternate. If selected, this player will pay a reduced rate and will attend games on as needed basis.

Team Makeup

  • 1 Team per division
  • Each team will have a minimum of 10 players on the roster at the time the team is established.
  • If at least 10 players remain in the tryout pool after the first team is established, a second team may be selected at the discretion of the board, and will play at the age division of the oldest player. For example, if the oldest remaining player is age eligible for 12u, then the second team will play a 12u schedule.  This will be at the sole discretion of the board.

  • Each coach will be allowed to choose 1 player as an alternate (at a reduced registration cost).  This player will only be allowed to play when there are 9 or fewer rostered players available to play on game day.

Fundraising

  • The Swarm Travel teams are financially self-sustaining with the registration fees the primary source of funds. Should the team's projected expenses exceed their budget, team fundraising may be required.

Communication Timeline

  • Offers for positions on the team can be made anytime after the first tryout day.  The participant will be given 24 hrs. to accept or decline the offer.
  • The goal is to have All notifications regarding positions communicated 96 hrs. after the final tryout date.
